Hey guys! I just wanted to share with you a HUGE nsv I've recently experienced. I have lost almost 75 pounds, and last week, I bought my first bikini ever. And the best part? I LOVE it! My entire life I have been overweight or obese, and while I still have about 45 pounds to lose, I am thrilled and so proud to have the confidence to wear this bikini this summer.

Here's a before picture, the bandages are from gallbladder surgery. My weight here was 302 pounds.

And here is a picture of my bikini. My current weight is 227.4. I am 5'11".

You look great! I am wearing a bikini today too. For years I didn't wear one until I realized that life is too short not to feel the sun on your belly

I actually had a tummy tuck after losing the first 50 pounds because I had a big apron of skin hanging down. That's one of the reasons it's so flat :D lol

    How was it?
    Expensive? Recovery time?

Last time I lost weight (80 lbs) had a grotesque amount of skin left and thought about treating myself to that type of surgery.

Yes it was expensive and insurance usually will not cover it. I was able to start light exercise after 6 weeks of down time. I got an infection and that may have slowed my recovery time. It was all totally worth it though. I love my new tummy!

Get it, girl!! You look amazing. I'm 5'11" as well and know how much it sucks to try to find a one-piece swimsuit that doesn't give you a massive wedgie, so it must be a relief to be able to rock that bikini!

nice job! You look awesome! Enjoy your bikini! I also got a tummy tuck after I lost 50 or so lbs...best money I ever spent and wish I had done it 10 years earlier! BUT...it is a hard recovery and painful surgery!

Yes lol. One piece suits were NOT made for tall girls haha

Amen. Camel toes are not a good summer look. And tankinis always ride up. All of which points to the fact bikinis are the best option!
