Ok im going to the store tomorrow and i am not very adverturious! lol I usually do the same grilled chicken, brown rice, pork or something like that. What are some of the things that you get when you go to the store. My list is usually really boring...lol

    Well, I just got back from Miss Ohio, so I wasn't at my place at all for 2 weeks and had NOTHING fresh in the house...
    I worked today and then went to the gym straight after and found myself famished!
    So I stopped by the grocery store and bought:
    - Chobani greek yogurt
    -strawberries
    -blueberries
    -grapes
    -coffee
    -creamer
    -sugar free fusgesicles
    -white cheddar rice cakes
    -peppered deli turkey
    -fat free whipped cream

    Essentially, I could live off all this stuff forever and never miss junk food .
    No veggies in there, but I had some frozen broccoli and brussels spouts at home.

    My regular shopping list includes a lot (think large family-I have five kids)

    pineapple
    apples
    grapes
    berries (of some sort-right now it's lots of strawberries and blueberries)
    onions
    peppers-green and colored
    mushrooms
    sweet potatoes
    broccoli
    baby carrots
    white potatoes (sometimes)
    watermelon (when in season)
    frozen veggies (asparagus, green beans, peas, broccoli, medley, and corn because the kids like it)

    boneless skinless chicken breast
    lean cuts of roast (London broil usually)
    canned chicken breast
    fish fillets (salmon)
    canned tuna
    canned beans
    dry beans

    whole wheat bread
    brown rice
    whole wheat pasta
    whole wheat tortillas
    low carb tortillas
    corn tortillas


    rice cakes
    organic blue corn tortilla chips
    reduced fat string cheese
    reduced fat/fat free shredded cheese
    yogurt
    cottage cheese

    explore the seafood section!!!! salmon, tilapia, even cod and shrimp!!!! they have lots of healthy nutrients and are a good source of protein without the heavy fats of red meat!!! try grilling some fish with lemon juice a nice serving of veggies on the side and light and fit ( only 80 calories!!! ) yogurt for dessert!!!

    Thanx sschiano!! I forgot about fish. I never really liked it untill like a week ago! lol I just never really ate it and when i did i just didnt like it. Last week i had a salmon burger and it was pretty good. then i had some broiled rainbow trout and that was really really good! lol

    (I use a bunch of the veggies for my veggie meatloaf and chicken soup... I don't usually have to buy all of these @ once. I have a lot left over of certain veggies still)

    Skinny Cow Truffle (100 calorie) Ice Cream Bars

    Today I got some of this stuff and some new stuff I got:

    Light Marinara
    Whole Wheat Noodles
    50 Calorie Oscar Mayer Barbecue Chicken (SO GOOD! for 6 slices)
    Honey (I have a recipe for honey salmon which I am excited about!)

    I love sandwiches, soup, and just some chicken/turkey/seafood with veggies so that is usually about what I get. I read hungry girl and keep up with new healthy versions of stuff that is coming out and sometimes try things out.
