Hi
When do you exercise? Is there truth in a best time of day to exercise? I read it was at 4pm because our body temp is at it's best for exercise then. True or not?

I don't know whether there is a right or wrong time. I work all day so don't have a chance to do it in the morning. I'm usually home around 5pm and do it then before dinner.0

i go to the gym in the morning before work, only cos it perks me up for the day and is a great feeling knowing that when i go home i can relax and enjoy the few hours i have left of the day0

I think I've read that first thing in the morning is most effective for weight/fat loss but the other side of the coin is - whenever you can do it, as long as you do it!
I've also read that late at night/very close to bedtime can have a negative impact on your sleep quality as your metabolism is still running fast.0 -
Evening here! I am so not a morning person - getting up and to work is challenge enough
If someone said I couldn't workout in the evening then sadly I probably would not workout at all.
And on the sleep thing - everyone could be different here but my experience is workout at 8-9pm and bed at 11+/- pm - I sleep like the dead. Which was so not the case in my days of being a slob all evening.0 -

I prefer to work out in the afternoon/evenings. I look at as completing my day almost and I rather do it in the afternoon. I can work out in the mornings, and I used to do that sometimes, but I would get sleepy after a few hours of working out (which is weird since they say its supposed to wake you up) Either way as long as you go, thats god enough.0

Morning is apparently more effective for weight loss. I typically do the majority of my working out in the evening, but I'm trying to start the day at least a few times a week with some yoga prior to breakfast.0

I am NOT a morning person and I used to exercise in the afternoon, but I've recently started exercising first thing in the morning. Believe it or not, I'm actually surprising myself that I like doing it better in the morning because then I get it out of the way and the fact that I still need to get my exercise in for the day isn't hanging over my head. I even feel better about myself during the day knowing that I've done something good for my body that day (even if I don't really like exercising).0
