Why is it so satisfying? Must be all the nommy oils :P

Also the fact I remember eating it as a kid and being equally satisfied. It's so soft, tender, succulent.
MMM.

And each one only has 173 calories. Sure that's about as much as a chocolate bar, but its SO much tastier, more nutritious, and filling.

yummmmm. Try this to make it go further aswell......

Take 1 fillet of smoked/ peppered smoked mackrel. Break it up into little flakes. Mix it with one of those mini tubs of philadelphia extra light (or a heaped dessertspoon of another extra light soft cheese) plus a heaped dessert spoon of low fat creme fraiche. Mix together with a squeeze of lemon juice, some chopped chives and some black pepper....

et voila- skinny smoked mackrel pate. Eat with melba toasts & cucumber slices.

    Calories:

    mackrel fillet: 173 cals
    Philadelphia tub: 38 cals
Creme fraiche: 23 cals (I used WW)

    239 cals

    Melba toast= 13 cals each
