Most likely it's water weight gain. I wouldn't worry over much. My weight fluctuates that much in 2-3 hrs on any given day.1

Water weight1

Stress, sodium, higher water intake, body retaining water for repairs, over eating previous days. Tons of reasons why you might have a fluctuation. Especially if you are not comparing weight at the exact same time under the same circumstances.2

Hmmm.. maybe your user name will give a hint.5

Exactly what usmcmp said. If I do something rigorous and use a lot of muscle groups to a high capacity, I will notice a gain in the scales for about a day or so. Like, for instance, if I over train my abs or quads, they will get a little swollen and bigger for a short period of time. During then, I see a little gain in the scales.
Also, your scale could need to be calibrated1 -

Weight loss is not linear. You're going to fluctuate from day to day. If those fluctuations cause you stress, weigh once per week.
Example: based on calories and activity, I should be two pounds down from my last weight as of today. Instead, I'm half a pound up. I'm not stressed about it because I know I hit the gym VERY hard this week and my body knows it, too. I know my calories are in check. I'm obviously holding at least 2.5lbs of water and one morning very soon, probably after my rest days, it will be gone and the scale will reflect the math.0 -

On top of water weight, it could be left over food in your system, too.
