Looking for a waffle recipe

I made belgian waffles this morning http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=151931 , but they weren't very good. (Not sweet enough.. actually not sweet at all) 
They were alright though topped with my homemade blueberry compote... But I won't be using this batter anymore. Anybody have a good waffle batter they'd like to share? Preferably low cal or something that I can substitute with other low cal ingredients. And sweet too! Please. :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

Hi Funky,
I have not personally tried this recipe. I have tried several of Shellys recipes and they are awesome and they have extra protein for staying power. If you are not sure about the recipe you can also try skinnytaste.com she has some awesome recipes too!

I use the Hungry Jack Wheat Blends Pancake Mix. I know you asked for a recipe but this is a fast, easy alternative. When i make these on the weekends, I make a double batch and freeze the leftovers. They make a quick breakfast during the week.0

If you are not above buying pre-made Waffles that are healthy, i swear by Nature's Path - Hemp Plus Waffles. They are really high in Omega 3's0

Yeah I use Vans (all natural) light waffles... whole grain... 70 cals a piece and you just pop em in the toaster...
