(RANT)Crazy how trying on a pair of pants can ruin your mood

I need a new pair of jeans so... I sucked it up and went. I wasn't going to try them on but I knew I would regret it. Went in the dressing room.. first pair didn't come over my big butt. Granted, they were from the Juniors section (where I shopped before I was pregnant) so I didn't get too upset. Next pair slipped on but the big 'ol belly wouldn't let me button comfortably:( Sorry to the worker who walked in there after me, I left them laying on the floor, I was upset. Needless to say, I didn't get a new pair of jeans. I swore to myself, the first time I lost all this weight, I would never buy the size I, apparently, am again. I still won't. I refuse.
I'd rather suffer.
I just can't believe it. I've lost almost 45lb and I'm STILL not out of this size??? It's not like I was hanging over the pants I have so what's the deal?? Hate it. Never again.

Yes trying on pants can really suck! For me it was trying on bathing suits the other day. I was like are you freaking kidding me? They looked terrible!0

First, congrats on losing 45 pounds...that's awesome. Second, "No 2 pair of pants are created equal". When I first started this, I chose one brand of jeans and when I feel like they might fit, I go to the store and try on a new size. You could get one pair the size you are now and another of a different brand but same size and they will fit you differently. Sorry to read how disappointed you were but never give up...don't lose hope because when you go back and try on the new size and they fit...you're gonna cry tears of joy and I wish you the very best.0

Jeans are my enemy too! And every places has a different size idea. It can be frustrating. Just know you are doing a great job! I'm here for you girl!0

I've noticed in the past that I tend not to lose a lot in the waist size of pants. Last time I lost ~120lbs, I went from a size 42 to a 38. Where I DO notice it is in how the rest of the pants fit, ie. the jeans I wore today are baggy in the butt/thighs, but fit in the waist. For me at least, I think I get in denial and refuse to buy bigger pants, so I force my body around the clothes I own.0
