Macros?

Please help me understand what these are for my understanding is weight loss is about calories in vs calories out so where do the macros come in

    Hi! The macros help us ensure that we are eating a balanced diet. If, for example you get all your calories from one food group, chances are you are not getting a good mix of nutrients.
    Also it's easy to fall into eating the same thing every day. If you don't mix it up a bit you might find that by the end of the week your macros show a deficiency.
    I think that it's easier to stick to a diet if you are getting all the nutrients your body needs. My mind certainly seems to send hunger messages even if all my body requires is one vitamin or mineral.

    not massively, in the short term, but different macro mixes can yield different outcomes longer term.
