Just a question- how do you guys divide your calories where do you eat most of your calories in your day breakfast, lunch or dinner?

I've read a lot that you want the most caloric meal as your lunch so you have the rest of the day to burn it off by doing your normal routine. and the next highest calorie meal is breakfast and then a light dinner to wind down the day. you're more likely to burn more calories in the mornings/afternoons (with work, exercise) than in the evenings (watching tv or just lounging from work).

Ideally most calories are eaten earlier in the day, with meals getting progressively smaller. "Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper."

On the other hand... 1st shift job w/ half hour lunch equals, for me, a decent breakfast, a middling lunch, and a healthy (but large) dinner; calorically speaking.

complex carbs early and before lunch, fruits and vegs noon, protein divided thru day in 5-6 servings, and protein right after exercise

Dinner. I eat about half of my daily calories in the evening. I sit at a desk all day so I just don't need that many calories during that time.

I'm hungrier at night so I usually keep my breakfast and lunch between 500-600 so I have like 800 calories to work with at night.

When are you most hungry? Balance for your personal wants.

There is no concrete evidence showing the eating late is bad thing. The only reason it is mentioned so often is that is when many binge eat. If you don't binge eat.. just follow your daily calorie guideline to suit your self. Consistancy is the goal!

That would only be true IF you move around at work and exercise during the day. I sit all day and then exercise in evenings. Plus, I like to have one really good "meal", with a full plate and glass of wine beside it, so eating most of my calories at night works best for me.

Most experts say have the largest meal for lunch and small dinner. I workout right when I get home from work and then eat dinner. My largest meal of the day is always dinner. I have lost 77lbs in less than a year doing this everyday so just go by what works for you!

Congrats on your weight loss. That is amazing! I am doing what I feel works best for me, breakfast is my medium calorie meal, my lunch is typically my largest then my dinner... But if I needed to change it - I would but in one month I have lost 10 lbs so I suspect that is pretty good.

Thanks again to you and everyone else...
