Silly question, but how can I add someone as a friend?

I know it sounds dumb, but how do I add someone as a friend on this site? I mean...how to send a friend request??

I saw a post of people trying the Atkins diet, and lot of people had left messages to add them. How do I do that?

    You can click on their username, do it again when you get the pop-up and it will take you to their profile. You can add as a friend there. May be other ways..
