HELP WITH LOOSING WEIGHT, FRUSTRATED

Hello, i am 46 years old and i am desperately trying to lose weight i have been trying for several years now but nothing seems to be working. I read articles about how other people are doing it and i try there way but the pounds never seem to come off. I don't do alot of strenuous exercise like i used to because i work long hrs and am just to tired when i get home. But im always busy with having my husband, 2 sons, my daugnter in law and my 2 grandsons all living at home. so any advise would be greatly appreciated. Im so frustrated i just feel like giving up but i keep going cause i hope one day i will wake up and ne skinny again. Thanks

Welcome! All you need to lose weight is a calorie deficit. No exercise necessary (though it is still good for your body).

Start with using MFP. Log your food, try to stick to your (appropriate) calorie goal, exercise when you can and profit.1

This is what works for me...when I follow it....I track all my food on MFP and stay a little under all the macros, I also find time to walk at work for 30 minutes (I get 2 15 minute breaks), at home I take 10 minutes each night to either lift some 5 lb weights, use my jump rope or hula hoop...I too am busy with full time work and my family but I make ME a priority. I find that I can lose 2 pounds a week when I do all this. I don't drink soda, I try to save most of my calories for supper time. You can add me as a friend so we can motivate each other and you can check out my food logs! You can do this!!!3

Click on their name that is highlighted in blue. It will take you to their profile pic and then you can add them. I've got all the issues you do, but have decided that I am a priority. So, the children can wait while I get my 30 minute video in every evening. And... I feel better after I do.
