Hiii
I'm just starting to track everything since yesterday. Last summer I dieted and worked out for about a month and a half and lost 25 pounds. It was great but then I started school and got too busy to keep track of everything. This time I wanna get it done and keep the weight off. My goal is to lose 92 pounds. What's worked best for most of you? I wanna try the 30 day shred so I might get that soon. Any ideas?
I'm glad we have this forum here, good for support!
Good luck everyone!

Making small changes gradually has worked for me. I realized I can't realistically jump to eating 1200 calories a day so I cut back gradually and that really helped. Eating more (way more!) veggies helped too. And I gotta have my cheat day every couple of weeks so I can still enjoy my indulgences.
And YES, the support on here is GREAT! Feel free to friend me!0 -

I went through small changes throughout. I knew if I gave up everything at once I would lose then probably get sick and then gain it all back. Starting with "what is a portion" (the result is shocking!) and drinking reccommended amounts of water (which I never really did before) The app is a life saver! If you have a phone or an iPod or something you have with you it makes it easier. I find myself checking MFP now more than i check my email of FB.
The best advice I can give you is record everything, even if you jot it down on paper and put in the computer later, whatever, just do it! Seeing how you eat can be a major wake up call. Is that soda really worth 250 calories our of a 1300 pool...to me it did at first, then all of a sudden it didn't. Use this as an opportunity to change your life, not as a "diet"
As far as exercise goes, I personally am a HUGE Jillian Micheals fan and if you are going from prolonged inactivity she is defniitely the one you want kicking your butt.. Plus her DVDs are affordable!
Best of luck to you, I hope you find a routine that allows you to reach your goals and not leave anything behind!0 -
Thanks for all your input Last time I tried, I found writing down everything to be VERY helpful. On my ipod I used to use LoseIt and now on my phone I use this. I really like the barcode scanner. Really cool haha0
