How to achieve my goal...

Alright; here's some data and I could really use some help. I'm a 35 year old male, who surfs probably once a week. I'm 6'1" and 156lbs. I'm told I'm thin and I know I am sort of...but it's misleading because my arms and legs have always been...it's my chest and mainly stomach that get a lot of the fat...so I'm eating a lot of protein and consuming fruit/veggie smoothies I make in our Vitamix at home. I'm eating every two hours or so, but in 200 calorie segments. I run 6 miles 3 to 4 times a week, at an 8 minute mile pace, and about 5 days out of the week, I do 3 sets of 50 pushups, a few sets of 6 pullups, and a 5 minute intense ab workout app... So I'm trying to remain in the 150-155 range but I'm not losing belly fat. I have tumeric and lemon tea each day, eat broccoli, and do drink red wine 3-4 times a week maybe. Anyway I'd like to lose the layer of fat....I was in Hawaii for two weeks and of course I surfed my *kitten* off but I was actually losing belly fat while there...now I'm not.

It's about the calorie deficit. If you are not losing then you are not in a deficit. Your calorie counting needs to be spot on.

    ETA missed a word. Duh

It certainly sounds like your body is struggling. You are much too thin. I would definitely keep your protein level up. Also I would suggest conferring with a certified fitness trainer. I have worked out with a certified fitness trainer and it was well worth it. They are educated and qualified to guide and answer all of your questions. Your weight is not a layer of fat it's a matter of firming up through weightlifting. One consult with a certified fitness trainer will confirm what's going on and what you need to do. I miss the ocean!

I don't think your body is "struggling". You give a lot of information in your post, but nowhere in there does it say that you are eating at a calorie deficit. You need to eat at a calorie deficit to lose.

Maybe if you built some more muscle you'd be happier. When I first lost 100lbs, I still wasn't happy with my body because I was "skinny-fat". Long story short, I'm 20 lbs heavier than I was at one point, but wear the same size.

I don't wear the same clothes, though, because my shape has changed so I need different fitting clothes. But I'm still in the same size.

Maybe you're skinny fat and could use a "recomp" or even a "bulk/cut"

I would go with this answer. The way your post reads, you are not looking to lose more weight, correct? I also don't think your body is struggling but if you are trying to stay in the same weight range (maintain) but lose fat which it sounds like you are, I would try a heavy lifting plan. Something like stronglifts 5x5 that would help you build muscle.

That's correct I'm not looking to lose more weight. I like weighing 150-160 and that helps with surfing. So more core exercises? Anything I can add to my routine? I use the 6 pack promise app almost daily and I do 200 push-ups in four sets now. I am running 6 miles about every other day too.

    Thank you for your input!!
