I am vegetarian, my daughter vegan, my husband a "concious carnivore". Friends welcome.

I am looking for non-judgmental friends who can relate to concious eating for better health and a better environment and also may be dealing with people who have other eating styles than they do. In my family we have found a decent balance: I cook vegan, except rarely eggs for hubby and I (from a friend of his backyard chickens :) ) My husband will cook his own meat, usually on a grill as he loves to grill. And when we eat out I may have dairy as part of my meal unless at a restaurant with a lot of vegan choices. Hubby will have meat if it is locally and humanly sourced which a lot of restaurants do in our area. And we support our daughter eating vegan and when she is feeling shy we ask for them to alter things for her, like not putting cheese in her food.

I would consider myself a "conscious carnivore" but lately have been contemplating (and slowly in the process of) going vegetarian and possibly one day vegan…more for social reasons that for health reasons but the benefits don't hurt! I sent you a FR :)

I'm vegan, vegetarian and meat eater :) If it grows or moves then it is fair game for consumption ;) Seriously though, I do not limit myself. Some days it is only vegetables and other days will consume a lot of meat.

I eat as vegan as possible, all the food at home is vegan. If I'm out in public I might slip into vegetarianism for the sake of making things simple for others. Pretty much every place can accommodate and understand a vegetarian.
