My wife and I have been greatly enjoying spinach-banana-blueberry smoothies for breakfast each morning for a coup,e of years now; their nutritious, easy to make (the liquid base is light sou milk; we often also add fresh ginger) and have helped me to slim down. They also provide a serving of leafy greens, which we otherwise can be lazy about.
The problem is, my wife was just diagnosed as having too much iron in her system, so the spinach has got to go. Anybody have a good, easy, nutritious breakfast smoothie recipe they'd like to share? There's lots on line of course, but personal testimonials from the MFP community carry more weight (so to speak) with me. Thanks in advance!

I usually just use 1 part blended whatever-fruit-is-on-hand, 1 part nonfat Greek yogurt and 1 part oats, let soak overnight.
I also enjoy blending whatever I have on hand with a scoop of yogurt and 2TBSP chia seeds.
For all the recipes out there, let the seasons be your guide! Usually whatever's in season at the same time makes an excellent blend0 -
I throw just about anything in my smoothies so long as the calorie count is right. BUT! A new thing I love to do is add 2 teaspoons of powdered peanuts. You don't need to add ice then, it thickens like crazy! It's delicious and it's 1/3 the calories and fat of regular peanut butter.0

I use frozen fruit in a blender/magic bullet with milk or fruit juice whatnot, the frozen fruit makes it a bit slushy!0

Never thought of using espresso. That sounds like a good idea to add to my chocolate protein smoothie. Unsweetened almond milk, frozen banana and protein powder.0
