Hey everyone,
Just wanted to say hi and see whos out there
I'm so so so excited to start my weight loss journey, at the most motivated I have ever felt. Well heres my story, In a nutshell . I am a girl, 5'4, looking for a healthy lifestyle.
I will be a freshman in highschool, 9th grade, and I have always been uncomfortable in my own skin.
I am not that overweight, but I still have 'chunk' lol
Middle School for me, well, it SUCKED.
6th grade, the worst year I have experienced so far. I had no friends because my self-conciousness(if thats a word)it made me well, socially akward. I was so afraid that people would reject me for my outside so I hardly ever talked in class.
7th grade- still bad, got a tad bit better when I made a few friends. still really uncomfortable with my body.
8th grade- I loved it. I really came out and let people know me, making friends along the way. I feel the only thing holding me back from really making that year awesome would have been my weight.
As of today, 6/30, I am 160 lbs. I have lost 4 pounds in about a week. I started exercising last week
I have already put my middle school days in the past, being not even a month since the school year ended.
I most definetely will not let my weight get me down in high school! I just wont!
SO MOTIVATED. SO READY!!
I hope to make fitness friends along the way making my way to 140 lbs.!!
Thanks guys!

First off congrats on being in HIGHSCHOOL!!! The best years are ahead of you! Also good for you for wanting to be a healthy weight and not some unrealistic 110 or something. 140 is a good weight for you! Being healthy in body and mind is a great start to being an adult! Good luck on your journey.0

One thing you might want to look into when you get to high school is playing a sport. I decided my junior year to start running cross country. It's difficult at first, but once you get going, you won't want to stop. No guarantees, but I had a great coach, and it helped motivate me to keep running.
You may not be into running, but it's just a suggestion. I was a scrawny kid, but it helped me learn to eat healthier and stay in shape. Also, I've noticed that runners are the most supportive group of people (bicyclists are up there, too) on the planet, so you should make friends super easy.
I hope you are able to reach your goals!0
