Steel cut oatmeal v rolled oatmeal?

Is steel cut oatmeal anymore filling than rolled oatmeal?

    I have both in my pantry. Steel cut is a bit healthier, but to me rolled oats swell up more and are more filling. I was doing steel cut for a while, but went back to rolled. In my opinion they are easier to prepare anyway.

    Satiety tends to be fairly individualized, anyway. So, try one for a while, see how you feel, then try the other for a while, and compare. Either/both are healthy foods, so what have you got to lose (except weight itself, of course :wink: ).

    Purely a preference....different textures and taste.

    I think they are both equally filling, but I like rolled oats more...they are softer and smoother, and all around more satisfying to me.

    I like both. That said, rolled oats are easier and less messy for me.
