Achieving Motivation

This has been the BEST app so far and I've been on track with logging all of my meals every day. I recently found out I have an extremely low metabolism and I've been working as hard as I can to stay in shape. I want what's best for my health. I think this app helps the most with my motivation; everyone here has their own story to tell, and I get to see everyone else's goals, challenges, hard work & success! It's an amazing journey and if anyone wants to share theirs let's be friends go ahead and introduce yourself!

My story is a bit everywhere. I have been 98 lbs and 155 lbs at 5"9. I'm currently underweight at the moment, and am attempting to gain weight in muscle. I used to be a cardio bunny who rocked triathlons, only to turn to powerlifting. The past nine months have been focused on weightlifting and building muscle, which I did. A recent accidental weight loss made me underweight and lose 60% of the muscle, so now I am bulking and am trying to gain weight healthily.
I am focusing on trying to love my body no matter my size.
Please feel free to add me as a friend.1 -

My perspective on motivation: Motivation is fleeting, an inspirational flame that lasts only so long. Use motivation to create sustainable habits. If you're motivated to quit smoking, use it to create habits that help you quit so when the motivation starts to taper, you're left with positive habits. Use the same approach with fitness. When you become inspired to become fit, establish *sustainable* routines, like getting up early, jogging before breakfast/shower, entering each meal into MFP, brushing after each meal (helps suppress appetite), getting to bed early, etc. When your motivation starts to wane, you'll find that you have become comfortable in your new routine and that it feels weird *not* to do those things. You've established a habit of fitness.1

Yes so true ! I just started my fitness pal and it's so helpful . Keeps my mind at ease. Been at this new journey for two weeks so far and at the beginning i wasn't excited to add more things to my busy plate already but now it's already becoming part of my life rather than a chore !1
