Mine is probably same as you around 30ish pounds.1

30-40 lbs for me also! That's w/ me needing to lose 150 total lbs in the beginning.2
-
I think probably around 18-20 lbs lost was the first time someone said I was a "skinny mini" - I haven't heard that in YEEAAARS so I was secretly overjoyed.8
-
For me, it was at the 40 lb mark3
-
About -30lbs. It all depends on how much you have to loose to begin with.1
-
20 pounds. I lose it in my face first, and that's where people notice it.

People haven't quite yet. I'm at 32lbs down..... It's kind of frustrating, as I'm
Working hard and I think argh, it's not showing, but then I know when people DO notice it will be for real rather than people saying they notice it to be nice.
In the past when I've lost weight, I've been very open about it, and people have always said "oh you look great, I can really see it!" Which makes you feel good, but then I'll be hitting a rough stage, gain 10lbs or so and be feeling crappy about it, and someone will (meaning well of course!) say the expected "oh you've lost more weight, you look fab!" and because I know I've gained a lot, that demotivates me even more, because i then know people were previously just being nice.
So this time I haven't said much to people, and hopefully they will start noticing soon. ☺️8 -
About 10 pounds.0

20+ lbs then people started to notice2
-
I think it's highly dependent on each person, I sometimes see progress pics where people have lost 50 lbs or something and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference honestly, if I saw them in real life (I'm also terrible at telling people's weight though...).
As long as the weight went down, that was all that mattered to me.2 -
I lost around 15 lbs in a summer.
Four good friends noticed the loss then.
My family didn't truly notice anything until I came back home from university for Christmas break another 33-ish lbs lighter.

I had lost 70lbs, and not one person from school noticed. During winter break, i lost another 20. EVERYBODY noticed. Guess it was due to the fact that they saw me everyday12

Yeah I think seeing someone everyday makes it harder to notice, but that's crazy that they didn't notice after 70 pounds. Great work, btw!3 -
20 lbs, my hubby mentioned that I was looking really good the other morning. Then a couple hours later he called and asked if I wanted to go to dinner this weekend. It might seem little but he has never planned a date night and we have been together for almost 10 years, lol!25

One or two said something around 30-40 pounds loss. Then I got a huge compliment when I had reached the 60 pound mark. It was frustrating when you you were almost as round as you are tall and no one seems to notice that you finally are getting a waist. Some think its rude to say something. Others no matter how good you are doing will never have nothing good to say and if they do comment they have negativity to spill. I had one person say I will just gain it back.0

About the same... really, when I bought new, smaller clothes, which happened after I'd lost about 30-35 lbs.3
-
I think people notice when you change, not when your body changes. You as a whole I mean. For example if you are still wearing the same old "cover all my bumps" clothes even if they now fit loose few people would notice. However if you change to a tailored look, everybody would notice. Also it depends on when one regains ones confidence. Changes her/his general attitude, etc.
For me... I had to lose a total of 44lb. When I had lost about 18 lb we had some friends come over and they didnt notice anything. Then they came to visit again a couple of weeks later. I had lost 22 lb at this point. For a firtst time I wore clothes a couple of sizes smaller they had not seen me in before. They were both shocked at my weight loss. I said well yes I lost 20 llbs. And their response - What?? In 2 weeks?? ROFL13 -
Mine is at the 38 pound mark. That's how much I lost, and just yesterday was the day everyone started really commenting all at once about it. The fact that I was wearing clothes that actually fit instead of my super baggy ones probably helped too.2

Mine was at 40lbs lost - some people said oh no he just had a haircut - others said its a bit more than that - what's your secret I was asked - told them lots of walking - CICO that's the trick2

When I changed my wardrobe all of a sudden everybody noticed. The cut of my new work pants is different somwhow that triggered it on an ongoing basis. I had alterated my old trousers three times already, but because they were what they had seen before in that colour/fabric it just does not always register that it is so much smaller.
Before that only a few people that either are very close ( husband and family) or do not see me very often (for instance a co-worker returning from maternity leave) noticed4 -
About the same 32lbs, I was passing by one of the departments at work and a girl called me and said I had been the topic of discussion among her and her friends due to my weight changes and asked me what I was doing..... It secretly felt sooooooo good4
-
In my case at this point well i have lost in 2 weeks and 5 days 14.7 pounds but my goal is to lose another 45 pounds to be in my ideal weight0
-
For me it was 40 pounds.
Other people who I see weekly aren't quite sure yet. They comment on my hair or my glasses, trying to figure out what's different.

Just had one person notice at 38lbs lost. But it was someone I don't see regularly. I guess those I see everyday don't notice the slow change?1
-
I think the clothing comments are HUGELY true. I wear scrubs for work and I also see those same people every day. I lost 20 pounds (obviously not overnight) but the day I wore a smaller scrub set, the compliments and comments came pouring in.3

I'm on my "2nd round" of mpf meaning I gave it up for several years and gained back half of what I had lost.
With my initial round, I lost 35lbs. It really wasn't until I had lost 25lbs or so that people started to comment. Even my husband didn't really notice until then as well.0 -
Really don't know when they noticed. They started asking at about 25/30 pounds down. So many were worried about a possible illness causing the weight loss they didn't comment at all. Once word got out that the loss was intention and on purpose more people commented on their noticing. Most were disappointed when, upon their asking, I revealed my "secret".2
-
Haha no one noticed my 15 pound loss. Now that I've moved into maintenance and bought new clothes/ started indoor rock climbing and a fairly physical part-time job, people notice. I have lost inches and am seeing biceps etc. I think it might also be that people feel awkward. Last weekend I asked a few female friends about their jean size (looking to give some good jeans away that have become too big for me) and suddenly one friend goes: Yeah, you lost weight right, I thought you looked real tight! (Fun thing is, I didn't lose weight, only inches). Funny thing is, I felt awkward too, because I didn't want to insinuate some of them are heavier than me..3

I've lost 47 and a few people have noticed, but most have not. It's pretty frustrating.1
