Bought a new scale - now I'm truly devastated.

I previously owned one of those regular cheaper scales, started my journey to lose some weight and be healthier on May 2nd.
Starting measurements were (In Inches)
Chest - 41 1/2
Bust - 45 3/4
Stomach 42 1/2
Hips 45 1/2
Neck 15
Arms 14
My husband and I purchased a new digital scale yesterday because I really thought that my scale was reading 10 lbs heavier than what I was because my inches have gone done quite dramatically
as of June 12th
Chest - 37 7/8
Bust -43
Stomach -40 1/2
Hips - 42 1/2
Neck - 14 1/4
Arms 13 3/8
But today as I weighed in, my new scale reads that I'm 10 lbs heavier than my old scale.
I've taken pictures and obviously my measurements are showing results. But for some reason now I feel so defeated and like I gained 10 pounds overnight.
I guess I just need to cry it out. I thought I was doing so great and now I just feel like all of my effort has been motivated by a lying scale.
Guess I just need a pat on the shoulder or some happy comments.

Make sure that you calibrate your scale. Do you have a dumbbell or something with a set weight? Either way, one of the scales was wrong, and inches tell you a better story for now. Keep up the good work:)0

The most important thing is the direction the scale is moving in, not necessarily the actual number it shows. Take nothing away from your hard work over the past month...you are obviously making progress based on your numbers and that is what counts. Just keep at it, because the only alternative is to either stand still or go backwards....neither of which is what you want.
Pat yourself on the back and forge on!!!3 -
You are exactly where you were before, making exactly the same progress. The facts haven't changed, just some numbers on a scale. Don't be disheartened. Keep going; you are doing brilliantly.0

You're doing so well! The inches matter more than the weight. Weight is an imperfect measurement to begin with. You're clearly moving in the right direction for better health (and looks!)0

sometimes the inches will come off before the weight shoes a loss on the scale. thats what happened with me when I first started. so dont let it get you down.0

The body weight scale is only good as a trend tool, monthly really. Even if it was slightly wrong, the trend over time is what matters.
Do not tie your happiness to the body weight scale, when you get within 10-15 pounds of your goal it's mostly useless.
We all tend to get addicted to it during the big long fat loss phase.
Learn to focus on the food scale not the body weight scale. The food scale is your grounding, not the body weight scale.
Then put your focus on all of the amazing non scale victories in your new empowered life and find your happiness there.
And it goes that way until the end of your days.0
