Do the weights given include the bar? I have been lifting for a little while (not big but am getting there) and yet the weights given seem massive! Am thinking maybe it includes he bar as well as the actual plates added? Does anyone know?

Yes you total everything including the bar (usually 20kg/ 44lb)

Thanks, that makes far more sense now! I knew I wasn't exactly lifting heavy but didn't think I was that much of a weakling lol!

I think with Stronglifts you start with the empty bar? For most women just starting out that's heavy enough!

Yeah I've been lifting the bar plus 1.25kg on each side for chest pressing. Am on bar plus 10kg for deadlifts so I think I'm doing OK by the look of it!
