Getting a little scary people...

I've been reading a lot of the posts lately and I just gotta say, it makes me nervous to even post THIS! I used to be on a runners forum and everyone was SO SUPPORTIVE AND KIND! When I first started on mfp I was quickly shocked to find out this is not the case here. With threads complaining about what people say, repeat postings, common topics etc., it would deter most people from posting! People should feel free to look for support, ask questions, and contribute to postings without being blasted, being required to support any comment with scientific peer reviewed journal articles, and/or having their thoughts/diaries/struggles be ripped apart. Maybe it's because everyone is on a "diet" or "lifestyle change" it makes everyone a tad crabby? I don't know, but if you don't agree with someone, just move on. I don't understand and would hope that this could be a supportive place for everyone, not a place where we are made to feel bad. This is probably a repeat of someone's earlier post but just thought I would say something. Be kind, be supportive, and congratulate those who struggle for even trying.

Peace y'all.

I agree, I too have noticed this.. People griping about how many times a question is being asked, SO WHAT? Help them out.
Some people are a little too intense..

I have noticed what you are talking about, and I totally agree with you. If you don't want to be supportive, friendly, and motivating then move on...

Mama always said " If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

Have your ever heard the saying Skinny B**ch? Maybe they are b**chy because they are so darn hungry. Could be something to it? Give that girl a hamburger! lol

What a bummer that people have to be unkind.
Who really cares if a post is repeated?
There are too many things going on in this world to worry about that.

I'm glad I read this before I starting posting in this forum. I don't get fanatical about these things, but I DO need encouragement and ideas from people. My husband is great but unintentionally (???? hmmm....maybe) sabotages my efforts with Persian doughnuts and pizza. Don't get me wrong, he doesn't force feed me, lol, as I'm a willing participant (and then feel guilty as all get out). I know I can start to be stronger about outside influences, however, I do need some advice about exercises I can do that will be safe but reap pretty successful results (and of course I want his YESTERDAY...lol). I'm 5'5" and weigh 240 lbs. I'm 56 years old and have knees that sound like castanets when I walk! HELP! ANY ADVICE MUCH APPRECIATED!
