Hey Y'all!
I'm struggling to eat. I don't have an eating disorder, but I am getting divorced and I'm in that stage where I may be hungry but nothing sounds/tastes good. Any suggestions? I'm

The divorce diet. Works better than anything else, doesn't it?
If nothing sounds good, consider going out to buy some frozen dinners and buy frozen veggies to add to them. Also consider a multi-vitamin since you are eating so little.0 -
The Divorce Diet...I keep hearing that! Blech, I still cook (4 small children) I just, I don't know, maybe it's good depression? I am taking vitamins0

I get that way when I'm super stressed...I lose interest in food and it seems like such a hassle to deal with it. Your body still needs the fuel, though, especially if you have small children running around. You really need to make sure that you're getting enough calories and nutrients to keep your body going...you need more than vitamins, ginger ale and coffee. Even if it's resulting in weight loss in the short term, you know it's not good for you.
Could you sit down and plan out some meals for the week in advance? Even simple stuff like cereal/PB&J/mac and cheese (or whatever else your kids eat) would be good.0 -
Your kids need you. Eat 1200 a day by eating foods you like: grilled cheese, bacon, pizza, Chipotle,0

Eat anyway.1

Choose things that are relatively bland and/or things you like even if they're not the most nutritious choices. Then, when you're eating, force yourself to actively think something like, "this is nourishing my body," or "this is giving me energy." Sounds cheesy, but it's worth a try. It's helped me a bit when I've struggled to eat.4

Another thing you might try is making yourself eat something small every couple of hours - a single piece of fruit, a granola bar, just a little something. If this helps you get some food then you might start thinking about making it more balanced, adding in vegetables and protein.
This is how I am surviving a serious appetite reduction due to hormones in my mid-40s.2 -
Perhaps go grocery shopping for easy to prepare foods that you can nibble on throughout the day.

oh man when im going through a big change/hard time my appitite is the first to go.. and usually my hair (like drastically cutting it haha) i either become someone who cant stop shoveling it down or cant find myself to eat. When i have those time when its hard to find an appitite i make pretty calorie heavy smoothies with a nutritional powder. I know im getting a good dose of protein and half my daily vitamins. I load it with milk peanut butter bananas ect ect. You got this!0
