Should I just go back to how I lost weight before?

Hi, I am currently 5'5 and 137 pounds, a young female. As of a little over a year ago I have lost 43 pounds. I'm proud of my progress and have noticed big changes. I came off of food addiction and started counting calories . The only working out I did was going on walks. During the school year and winter months my weight loss slowed drastically because I wasn't doing physical activity and thinking that walking wasn't good enough. I run sometimes but i really don't like it as much as walking. I don't mind lunges and push ups and those sort of things..should I go back to brisk long walks and eating right of course..? Will it help me lose the last 5-10 pounds? Thanks so much for the help! My goal is 130.

Hey, I find walking to be great, too, and I also hate running. I also highly recommend light weight training since you mention that you like lunges and push ups. I think the questions you asked are a definite YES. After gaining about 20lbs of fat over the last year I'm going to start doing what I used to as well.

Your body will always get used to whatever activity you do, and you'll always have to up the intensity of your activity as your body gets more fit and able to do more. If you don't like running, try something else, like HIIT videos on YouTube

Since you're counting calories (I assume you still are), I say do what you feel most comfortable with. Also, you're only seven pounds from your goal weight so weight loss will be slow, and your logging has to be very precise.

If I run less than 20 miles a week I gain so it becomes a balance. If I can't run and be active I need to cut my beer & wine way back, and I don't like that one little bit!

You answered your own question, lol. Go back to doing things the same as when you were losing weight in the past. Anytime we get off track and lessen our activity level and increase eating we will start to go back to where we used to be. Congrats on how far you have become!

Please keep in mind that you have very little to lose and it takes precision and patience at this point.
