It will hurt you in the long run. Your body isn't getting what it needs to function properly.0

you'll keep losing weight, but you may be losing both muscle and fat - which you don't really want to do. you need to make sure that however many calories you are eating is what MFP is telling you to eat. if it's telling you to eat more than 1200, you probably should. you need to be smart about this - and lose weight healthily.0

You probably will so that's exciting but keep in mind that healthier food will assist you more in energy for exercising and in getting nutrients. I am the biggest junk food eater and am struggling badly with keeping a healthy diet, but the difference in how you feel is huge! I'd suggest trying to get your calories through healthy food, maybe try every second day so you can still enjoy the food you love? Getting nutrients is important.
I found that after exercising on junk I was tired and would crash badly, but exercising on healthy food kept me going and afterwards I wasn't so tired so could go on and do normal every day things (which burns more calories than sleeping! )
Basically yes, you'll lose weight , but I think you might feel better and maybe lose more if you try to trade some of the food for healthier alternatives health is more important than weight loss.0 -
Hi
I have the exact opposite problem to you, Im keeping within my 1230 calorie count, if not under by about 60 each time and im eating healthy and the scale is not budging. Im going to try and up my exercise. Any ideas anyone??0 -
If you're only eating 1200 cals a day you need to be a bit careful to make sure you are getting in enough good nutrition to keep your body going. You will probably lose weight in the short term, but it isn't going to be good for your health long term.
I'd suggest either cut out the junk or increase your calories. There are two ways to increase - either change your weight loss goal to half or one pound a week, or exercise more so you can eat more.0 -
Thanks everyone for the comments, yes 1200 is what mfp is telling me to eat, I also take a multivitamin each day so I am not lacking in anything, I will keep updating my loss, cheers0

probably, but personally I rate being healthy over losing weight.
throw in some more fresh veggies0
