Apart from getting baggier trousers, when I look down at my body or in the mirror it doesn't look any different to me even after losing 10lb :(

I exercise 4 times a week - twice body pump (for strength) & twice cardio (running and swimming usually).

Maybe it's coz I see my same old self every day - when will I start to see a difference? I am going on holiday in 2 months and at the moment I feel like I would still look flabby in a bikini.

Have got the 30 Day Shred DVD and am planning to do it soon!

    Yeah I'm totally like that!

I have gone down 2 UK sizes since starting here, and I still don't believe it...

I suppose that when you look in the mirror you're only seeing incremental changes. Could you find an old pic of yourself and stick it to your bedroom mirror? Then when you look at the new you, you'll at least have a frame of reference!

    I've lost 4.4 pounds in a month, not really a fast weight loss there ^^;
But i dont see that ive lost weight, but everyone else does and my scales clearly show it.
I'm aiming for a flat stomach but its still the same old flabby gut that i had 4.4 pounds ago.

I cant do the majority of floor exercises cause i have lower back problems, so sit-ups and crunches are a no-go for me.

Im sure youre not the only one my sweet. :) But chin up though, you'll see a difference soon. x

Do you know the other annoying thing- is that my clothes are getting too big but the next size down is still too small! How annoying!? Am also worried that by the time I reach my goal and want to go and buy summer clothes they will have all gone lol

Heh, I've lost 95 pounds and I still see an equally chunky lady in the mirror. It seems our brain doesn't adjust.

Same here. I've lost 12 Kilos (about 28 pounds) but still see my stomach. Although I do sometimes catch myself when I look in a full length mirror and see that I am smaller. It is so annoying that I've had to keep buying clothes and now it's hard to find the right size in stores! The thing I notice the most is that I can actually feel my bones now! Not just blubbery fat!

Ladies I hear you loud and clear! I am also a perfect 9!! I have lost 10KG so far and I see no difference other than a bone appearing here or there and even dropping 2 clothes sizes I still struggle to see a difference! I think our brains are hard wired to not appreciate what we have...and i am SURE the mirror puts lb's back on!! Well done though and keep strong!

Same thing! ish. The first 10lbs I totally noticed and actually felt kind of smug about (I kept going to the mirror, lifting my top up and turning to the side or peeking at my bottom hehe). I've lost another 8lbs since then and if possible feel as frumpy as when I first started! My clothes aren't exactly falling off either :grumble:

I agree. I have lost 44lb over 6 months. Every time my body has changed I feel good for about 2 weeks and then I start to feel fat again. I'm wondering if I will ever like how I look. And I am also in between a clothes size. I'm having to wear belts which I hate. I'm sure if we all keep at it we will reach a point of happiness and feel comfortable in our own skins.

I am the perfect 11 in tight jeans (my stretchy 10s are massive on me)

I have lost around 17lbs from my typical weight (slightly bubbly and chubby) and now everyone (including my critical fit ex boyfriend) tells me I look really fit and slim.
Somehow I still feel slightly bubbly.
I have no problem with clothes now - and I am intentionally buying the tightest, sexiest stuff - but somehow... I cant see myself as XS or S... I feel inside like a sure M.
    Which Im definitely not anymore.
I think it just takes a lot of time to get used to our new body - we have been some size all our lives, and now all this is new. It simply takes time!

I've lost 59 lbs and have only moved down 1 size...and I didn't wear tight clothes to begin with but I can't fit into the next smaller size (too tight for my standards). My jeans, work slacks & tops are so baggy.... :grumble:

Purchase things you like now but in a smaller size. I've been buying smaller clothes on sale. At the end of winter I purchased 5 pair of work slacks all under $15!!!!!! Some were even as low as $8. Now those purchased slacks are loose

So totally agree! I keep grabbing the medium size when I'm shopping and than wonder why it's falling off me. Can't seem to guage/guess my size in clothes any more! The small size looks tiny on the rack but miraculously fits! Yet I still have a stomach and don't see myself as 'thin'. Crazy. Really have to get your head around it all!
