What can you wear now?

30" waisted pants. It's awesome cause that size is always "leftover" and makes the clearance racks!!10

Confident enough to actually be shirtless. Massive Journey !!7

American Eagle jeans.. my favorites that I never would throw away.. I was a bit anal and had to see them everyday to remind me of my goal..
no one understood why I had a pair of jeans hanging on the fireplace for nearly a year.

Loving all these stories!
@arditarose You look amazing in your latest profile pic, as do @Prhick and @Machka9 in the photos they posted!2 -
I realized today that what I really love wearing is bell bottom yoga pants, a simple tee shirt, and a hoodie. No camouflage, a clean simple look, and I feel great. At 57.11

A pair of capri trousers I bought when I was 16 and never fit into, wore them for the first time last year (ten years later!) And this year they are a little too big!!6

I love my new wardrobe!
It's actually comprised of a bunch of new things and some old favourites, such as:- Shift dress I made from a sari
- Issey Miyake Vogue Pattern skirt from 1984
- Black fine-pleated skirt of my mother's from 1964.
Here's an album of mirror selfies:

What lovely things are you able to wear now?
I must admit I'm looking pretty good in a wife beater.3 -
That's impossible. Nobody looks good in a wife beater I kid I kid.5

LOL...you're only slightly wrong...women look good in "wife beaters" (who came up with that name?)....Men, not so much...3

I wear wife beaters all the time in the summer! Love them and they are usually very cheap. I make sure to get many colors!

I stand corrected, and generally agree1 -

Me too!0 -
@Orphia thanks for posting this! I have some saris I brought back from a trip and have wondered how to use them (other than the few I have hanging as decoration) and I LOVE the dress idea.
I've still got a way to go, but I love that I am currently wearing some old jeans I had that are 3 sizes smaller. Granted, they are not in a fashionable cut, but they are fine while I continue to shrink.

Skirts! no more chub rub! And I used to have a huge butt. Skirts over-emphasized it, or draped over it like a tablecloth. Not flattering. Now it's merely big, as opposed to huge. Moving from fat to curvy makes all my clothes look and fit better!2

I agree, women do look sexy in wife beaters and boxer shorts. The name was made up by a guy that was beating his wife wearing the shirt lol.0 -

Just posted last week, for the first time since my early 20's I am in medium shirts. That is down from XL!

I LOVE this topic! For the first time in my life I can wear the following:
Bikini's
Crop tops
Very fitted dresses with no shapewear
White pants
High-waisted pencil skirts with no protruding belly
Short shorts since my thighs no longer rub together or jiggle
Clothes that doesn't stretch
Backless dresses
Knee high boots that are not wide-width
I'm rocking it heading into my 40's! It feels so amazing and it inspires me to keep working hard!

I went from a size 42 in waist in pants, to a size 32. I went from a 4XL shirt to a medium Nike Golf Polo.
I'm not wearing medium Race Bib-Shorts from Bontrager, Large Cycling Jersey [one size up for comfort, those things are skin tight]. See profile picture
I actually feel good wearing suits. Instead of feeling like a Mobster from a 80's movie.
I can actually fit into clothing from the "normal" section instead of looking for the "big and tall" section.5 -
I have found the confidence to wear regular shorts. I always felt too self-conscious to wear anything more than an inch or two above my knees, but now that I dropped a few sizes and toned up I have stopped worrying about my thighs "spreading" when I sit down.3

You know what I can't wear anymore? Strapless anything. A strapless bra does not help at all.
My breasts went From DD to a small B and have deflated terribly. I'll be getting a breast lift before I can do anything requiring a strapless bra.5 -

I hear you girl! Never considered any sort of vanity surgery in my life but man it is tempting!4 -
I've gone from wearing L shirts to now fitting in M slim fit shirts!3
-
My mom found my kilt from 1st grade to give to my 1st grade son. Just for kicks I tried it on...and it fit! A bit shorter than I wear my skirts at 34, but it fit!8
-
My boobs have deflated significantly. They are easier to "check" each month for lumps.

I just got in to a pair of shorts that I kept that are a size 30. They are no longer snug & fit perfectly. It's going to be a great summer & all of my bathing suits fit me again!!! Have to remember to maintain & not let it slip away ever again........2
-
I love this thread! I cannot believe that I wear Pinup Couture pencil dresses in a size small! I also wear UK size 10 skinny jeans and can even wear a crop top though I haven't had the guts yet. I'm 43 years old!!! I love being able to wear stuff I could only dream of a few years ago!8

As far as pants/shorts is concerned.......I had to throw away or give away ALL of my clothes from my first weigh in. I haven't really replaced them yet. It's hard to buy new clothes while still losing allot of weight. Like right now I'm between a 32 and 34 size waste. Was 38 or 40 depending on the style! So, I'm holding off on going clothes shopping. Right now I have three pairs of cheap cargo shorts to my name.
Shirts isn't such a problem. I can still wear SOME of my XL size shirts but they are pretty lose. I have been buying some Large and they fit well now.2
