Hope the workload is a temporary thing. Sitting is terrible for you health, example article:

    http://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/much-sitting-linked-heart-disease-diabetes-premature-death-201501227618

What these articles don't mention is the impact on your back, shoulders, etc from sitting on a computer for that long. The links in this article take you to a series of T-Nation articles regarding issues for desk jockeys.

Can you get up at work every hour and take a 15 min walking break? It all adds up.

Where are these jobs that let you spend 25% of the time that they are paying you to work to take walks?

If you read the thread the OP takes work home and works until late at night. I think the company is getting it's moneys worth.

According to the OP, he's not even taking a lunch so I think they're getting their money's worth.

34lbs and 22.5 inches ago I was on insulin twice a day and two pills a day for diabetis. I couldn't even walk around the block. My A1C was 10.10.
Today i am completely OFF ALL diabetis medications. I work out 90minutes per day 5-6 days a week. I do calisthenics in the pool though because my knees are shot.
If I can do it anyone can! You have the will to do this so that's half the battle! The other half is getting that physical activity up to at least 2000 cals burned a week. Currently I burn over 4000 a week! You got this!
