I just use the "light" version of whatever. Ken's Steak House Lite Caesar is yummy. I avoid fat-free dressings, they always have a weird aftertaste to me.0
-
White balsamic vinegar is my favorite - but my son gave my bottle to my Grandma so I need to buy more. Bolthouse ones would be my 2nd choice.0

Dijon mustard, tarragon, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, and shallots... delicious!2

balsamic vinegar, dijon mustard, garlic, dash of milk for creaminess. Some kind of herb: cilantro, thyme, whatever i'm in the mood for.0

I love low fat mayonnaise.0

Balsamic vinegar, with or without a touch of EVOO. Red wine vinegar + dijon or spicy mustard. For an Asian style salad: soy sauce, lime juice, sriracha, with a touch of fish sauce. Classic: any good vinegar plus EVOO -- you don't need the classic proportions, however -- I tend to use just a little olive oil.0

Bolthouse Farms yogurt-based dressings are delicious and very low in calories compared to standard salad dressings. Salsa Verde Avocado flavor is my current favorite, and works well as a sour cream replacement in my vegetarian tacos.0

I usually mix chili paste (sambal oelek) with apple cider vinegar and use that to dress my salads. If I have the calories or need some more fat that day, I'll add a bit of vegan mayo. But 99% of the time, it's just those two ingredients.0

Homemade salad dressings are the best. Bottled dressings are loaded with sodium. I prefer to make my own balance of salt and spices. Lots of yummy ideas already posted. I'm going to have to try the chili paste and apple cider vinegar combo. I love spicy food.0

I love Bolthouse farms varieties of yogurt dressing. The other option is a olive oil and vinegar dressing by Hendrickson's. It's high on the vinegar side so lower calories than some, I find it at Wal-Mart. Then there's another, which I can never find, made by "Old Dutch" which is really good, but has almost no oil so it's very thin. All of these options are between 50-60cals for 2 tbsp. I personally like the thinner stuff, vinegar and oil varieties because they'll coat a whole salad with just 2 tbsp. Ranch or yogurt dressings tend to stay on top of the salad and by the time I'm finished I'm eating plain lettuce lol.. yuk.0

I made a really simple vegan ranch out of Vegenaise, rice milk (though I suspect unflavored almond or cashew would lend a more appealing texture - mine was a bit too thin) and a few dried herbs and spices (parsley, onion powder and garlic powder I believe). I found the recipe at food.com.
EDIT: yep... here's the (incredibly simple) recipe0 -

I created it to save calories but I liked it so much I don't even miss "traditional" salad dressings.0 -
Bernsteins light cheese fantastico is my fave... so good!0

Ken's Steak House Lite Northern Italian (I think). It's tasty and zesty.
That Bolthouse sounds good,0 -
Annie's Tahini salad dressing and Kraft Green Goddess are my favorites.
I've also used bbq sauce, salsa, and low fat mayo with siracha. (not all together!)0
