Treating body like a slave?

I see a flaw with the idea of "I can eat more because I work out a lot and have exercise calories to burn."
Here's the flaw in the armor:
The more we eat, the more work our bodies have to do with digesting. If we're always giving it a lot of work and so little rest, we're treating it like a slave. Add the stress of a lot of exercise and not enough down time, and the body may feel exhausted.
I think the key's moderation.

I tend to agree with that!! While I see the point in eating your exercise cals and exercise if def a good thing, I think either way some people tend to way over do it!0

I think it's ok to do on occasion. However, we human beings are not biologically designed to feast daily. When we eat a lot of extra calories, it really IS a feast.
People have been active throughout history. Feasts were not a daily thing. No one worried about "starvation mode" but instead worried about starvation itself at times.0
