    Copied from a list online:

    High Sodium Foods to Avoid
    Prepared foods are the biggest problem. A cup of canned soup has 1,000 mg of sodium, a cup of chili has 1,200 mg, a typical TV dinner has 1,150 mg and a slice of pizza has 900 mg. One hot dog has 900 mg of sodium, 1 oz of parmesan cheese has 500 mg of sodium and 3 oz of ham has 1,100 mg. Other high-salt items you might take by mouth include alkalizers, cough medicines, laxatives, mineral waters, pain relievers, sedatives, softened water, and chewing tobacco. Not all salt substitutes are sodium free, so be sure to check the label.

    ETA:: Found this too
    Check nutrition labels and keep foods under 140 mg or less which is considered a "low sodium food".

    anything prepared/processed
    lunch meats
    cheese
    bread, buns - pretty well anything made with flour - breaded *anything*
    pasta sauces
    olives
    pickles

    Just about any packaged (frozen meals, canned goods, deli or cured meats, chips, nuts, pickled foods, etc.) will have a lot of sodium unless they are labelled low sodium or salt free. Cheese also contains quite a bit. Not too many foods have a lot of sodium in their natural state.

    Soy sauce! A bunch of my gf's and I went for sushi yesterday and while it was delicious....all of us are in the office today guzzling water and still feeling like we are 6 months preggers! Ugh!

    Just about anything you have to open. It's like HFCS it's everywhere.
