Frozen rice.

Does any members bulk cook and freeze rice or buy frozen rice. I was thinking on making some and freezing it as we eat lots of it. Thx

I do. I make a bunch in my rice cooker and then portion and freeze. It's super convenient.

I've bought Trader Joes frozen rice and quinoa before....had no issues and love the convenience!

Safe storage is about 1 month for frozen rice made at home ... just an FYI.

You'll want to pack it in airtight containers white still hot, to keep as much moisture in the rice as possible.

When you go to use it later, the best option is to steam it in the microwave for a couple mins with a small amount of water.

Thanks for the reheating tip - I stopped freezing rice due to it being dry when reheated and your suggestions sounds like it solves this.
