Stalled Weight Loss HELP

Hi, this is my first post here but I've scoured the Internet and I can't seem to find any answers!

I started my weight loss journey at 174.5 pounds, I'm 5'8" and a female and 19 years old. I managed to get down to 149.0 and then it stopped. I'm eating about 750 calories a day (according to FitnessPal)
Breakfast- BelVita soft baked
Snack- 1 serving veggie straws
Lunch- steamed vegetables with 3 slices of turkey
Snack- 3/4 cup of special K cereal with almond milk
Dinner- quest cookies & cream protein bar
Snack- cup of red table grapes

And I also run 3 miles Monday-Friday in about 28:00, (350+ calories burned) and participate in Pure Barre 3-4 times a week.

I need HELP!!!! What can I do to get over this plateau? It's going on my 4th week this coming Monday! And depending on what day I weigh myself, I can be up to as much as 152! My goal weight is 120. Does anyone have any suggestions?!?

You have got to eat more. I don't care about whether or not you are losing weight at this point. Your diet is unhealthy and you are setting yourself up for a lifetime of health problems.

149/150 is a great weight for 5'8". 120 is underweight. Please seek medical advice and assistance.

All of this. This is a very worrying post.

Yeah. I'm hoping against hope that you are deluded regarding the number of calories you are ingesting because that's a really inadequate diet.

But do you know what I'm doing wrong? BTW-- I don't feel like I'm not eating enough because I have lots of energy to run 3 miles and strength train, plus I feel fine. I'm just wondering what could be the cause of the stall?

Are you under a doctor's supervision with this diet? 750 calories is extremely low and below the bare minimum ever suggested to someone of our height/weight (we have similar stats). You will start to hurt yourself if you maintain this diet, including thinning hair, brittle nails, muscle loss, low energy, vitamin deficiencies, etc. Unfortunately, the damage is often already done by the time you start to see symptoms.

You stalled because you aren't eating enough food. Try it for one week and prove us wrong ;) Eat a more traditional dinner of a lean meat, steamed veggies or a salad and a complex carb like whole wheat bread or a sweet potato. Aim for 5-600 calories for that meal. Add some healthy fats like avocado or nuts to lunch or snacks.

Eating as you are can have disastrous effects on your hormones. You may start losing hair, your skin and nails may become dry and flaky. It can even effect your fertility (not that I figure you're looking to make babies now...but someday you might.)

I'm not technically under a doctor's supervision but I did get blood work done two weeks ago and everything came back within the normal range, and my sugar and cholesterol was "excellent." I'm not trying to start up anything I just really want to know why low calories + exercise + strength training isn't resulting in weight loss!

What you are doing wrong is undereating and, likely, overtraining. Have you been missing periods yet?

No! So are you saying if I add a little more like try and get to 1200 and run less I should start seeing results?

You need professional help. Your focus is on losing weight when it should be on getting healthy. You are literally setting yourself up for osteoporosis, loss of fertility (and don't think that's a good thing simply because you don't want a baby at this point in time), depression, anxiety, sleep problems, injury. The list goes on. Talk to your parents and/or a doctor or other professional.

We are all telling you to get professional help. You will make yourself very sick with what you are doing to yourself. Please see your doctor and be completely honest about how you've been eating and exercising.

Please talk to your doctor or a counselor. You really do need professional help. You are not getting enough nutrition. 1200 calories net is the minimum you should be eating. You are hurting yourself.

You can take it for what it's worth. But I killed my weight loss stall by eating 500 more calories than I normally do for one day.

That pretty much took care of mine (provided, of course, you aren't eating a lot of salt and drinking enough water)
