Weight gain

Not sure if this is in the right place but...
The first time since January I've allowed myself to indulge as I had a week off work and the first break I've had in a while. Let's just say I'm regretting it. And as it stands I have gained a massive 10lbs in just 5 days. I know some will say it's water weight but I know the majority of it is not. Just wondering how much do you think it is possible to lose in 10 days? I've lost 7.5lbs in a week before which I thought was too much but evened itself out the next week. I have drawn a line under it and willing to move on. I guess I just saw how easy it has been to slip into old ways.
It's been nice to be carefree as such my partner hasn't gained any weight and we've pretty much ate the same things. Funny how the human body works isn't it sometimes
I just want to know what things you did to get yourself remotivated again?
Any help is truly appreciated
Thank you

Even if it were half fat and half water weight, that would mean eating 17,500 calories over maintenance. About 4000 over a day. Just get back to what you were doing before and move on.0
