Lost 110 pounds and can't lose anymore weight-help?

Hello everyone! I'm 22 years old and since I began using MyFitnessPal in January of 2015, I've lost 110 pounds total (started at 325 and now at 215.) But for the last four months, I haven't lost a single pound. I've adjusted my calories by lowering them and even upping them, changed up my exercise routine to include more weight training and more cross training (I'm a runner, very slow but I enjoy it a lot,) and drinking nothing but water with the occasional diet soda with dinner. I'm currently training for a half marathon which is next month, hoping this training will help me lose weight but nothing has helped. At this rate, I feel extremely discouraged.
I feel like I need to significantly lower my caloric intake to start losing again. I currently eat between 1600-1800 a day. I'm always hesitant to lower my calories below 1600, because if I do I become insufferable and starving, and end up binging. Does anyone have any tips, advice, or similar struggles to share? I'm looking for anything at this point as I'm starting to become tired and unmotivated.

Have you been taking measurements? Often water weight can mask a scale loss so measurements help to determine if you're still losing.
Are you weighing all solid food? If you aren't, you could be eating more than you think.
How long since your last drop on the scale?0 -
Someone will probably ask you to open your food diary so that they can have a look at your logging in case their is an issue there.
I just wanted to comment that it is very common for people to think that training for a half or full marathon will help them lose weight when the usual thing is that people typically maintain or increase slightly due to the increased appetite created by all the activity.

Any chance you are eating more than you think especially after long runs?
It can be hard to get the balance right between fueling for having good quality runs and not overfueling.2 -
a sport dietican told me marathon training would not help me lose weight. She was right. When training for a 1/2 or full marathon your body needs calories-fuel for the runs. Now afterwords you can reduce your calaories and cut back some on your training.
Meanwhile celebrate your loss and enjoy life.2 -
Congratulations on your loss! That is fantastic!
I would assume you are consuming too many calories for your weight loss goal, which isn't such a bad thing during your marathon training. You have to fuel your body for all that training.
A look at your diary does help with suggestions. Do you use a scale to measure? Amazing what a difference that makes.
Again, congratulations and you keep with it!0 -
Don't know if this applies to you, I've only list 60lbs, but I put on a significant amount of muscle compared to what I had (or rather didn't have) before. I studied bodybuilders since they seem to have a great handle on their bodies and how to control and build it. Look into Carb Reload and Refeeding once a week. They all live by it to avoid metabolic adaptation and to remind the body to keep burning fat and not conserve your fat since its detecting so much of it being lost and it's telling your body "oh *kitten* we're gonna need this fat, let's stop or slow down a lot and take from other areas...like start burning muscle" and with a lot of running that could be possible also if you run a lot. I've found 20min HIIT cardio sessions have helped me a lot, to maximize continued fat loss and minimize eating into my muscle. I usually will eat 3x my normal carb intake during those refeeds and I'll do it either early morning or for lunch so I can use up the energy it'll give me while I'm still moving around OR I'll have it late at night and go hit the gym for a hardcore lifting session (complex carbs however like pasta) vs the quick release ones like banana etc) you'll find yourself with a lot more energy than normal to do more, lift more etc which I usually do for my chest/back day. Also I'd look at your foods more to tighten things up to take your nutrition to the next level....eliminate sugars as much as possible leaving to the sugars you get from fruits, and if you must have sugary foods, I reach for the different protein bars which have some sugars or satisfies my sweet tooth but has lots of protein which I always keep at 1g per pound regardless simply because I'm trying to grow muscle while cutting. That's my two cents, YouTube everything I've said, if you find value, try some of it, maybe it'll break that plateau! Congrats on the weight loss! Keep at it.....FOOOOCUS!!0
