Do push ups burn any calories?

I've been doing the "hundred push ups" program and was curious if push ups burn enough calories to count? There are push ups in the exercise database but it sounds more like a cardio activity.

  anything that gets your heart rate up burns calories it just depends on how high you HR gets and how long it stays elevated to calculate how many cals you burned.

  search under cardio for Calisthenics you should find push-up/sit-ups.
