Thanks to MFP and my exercise program I have been able to lose 13 pounds. I take mental health medication and have never been able to lose weight. For once I have kept up with my nutrition and exercise program and lost 13 pounds. I am also stronger physically and have more endurance.

I am on medications for mental health also. I thought it made me gain weight. I put on 35 kilos. What actually happened, is I experianced more hunger than usual and moved out of my parents home. I felt like I didn't have control over my weight, so I ate whatever I wanted. Soda, candy, chips, popcorn, pizza, fried chicken etc, and way too much of it. When I stopped eating those things, I lost 33lbs over a year. Its not a huge weightloss, but it shows that it is possible to be on medications and maintain a lower weight than you think.5

I too am on psych meds. Ate what I wanted forever now. Got up to 213.5 lbs this year. Then, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in April 2016. I have since list 14 lbs too! I even brought my diabetes down into the prediabetic range! It's amazing what only 10lbs can do for your body. I'm hoping to be 150 at this time next year. That is my goal. I know I can do this, and you can to!!!2

Good job! Doesn't matter how long it takes us to get to our goals...the point is if we manage not to gain or better yet lose....that is all that matters! Keep up the great work!1
