So I had an unexpected cheat meal, I'm so furious with myself because I shouldn't have ate it but I did. Can't take it back now. I'm honestly so mad right now. Because I have now gained 5 pounds back! I'm 17, started my journey weighing 250lbs. I weigh 235 right now. Hopefully I will go back down quick. Just mad at myself right now.

You haven't gained 5 pounds unless you ate about 15 000 calories over you allowance! What you have got is food still in your body and no doubt some water weight. It will drop off in a few days. It's a new day, move on, shrug your shoulders, life happens. If you are really upset about it, do a little more exercise this week or eat a handful less calories and by the end of the week you'll be all straight again.2

No need to be upset. Even though i didn't have a cheat meal as you called it, it was father's day yesterday and i simply ate with my family without worrying too much. I had exercised before i left because i knew there would be food involved and i exercised again when i came back. I was under my calorie goal for the day (even though i made sure to overestimate the meal i ate) but i woke up 1.2kg heavier than yesterday. Although i hate seeing the scale increase but i know it will drop off within 2-3days, so i am not stressed about it.
I also had pizza last week and retained water for 3days. Don't be mad at yourself or stress yourself. Just continue to do what you're doing.0 -

I ate popcorn last night...it was bland so I loaded up the salt. Up 2.6 pounds. Thank you salt. Gone in 3 days...2 if I drink enough water.1

that question is rhetorical and in no way represents draconian rules that exclude people below an arbitrary age as defined by the people that own this website and agreed to by all those therein upon acceptance of the terms of service...
