Ugh so I've been fasting for Ramadan and I feel like I've thrown all my good eating habits out the window! Just fasting all day leads me to think and believe that I can eat the sugary fattening foods because my body is craving it! What do I do anyone else out there fasting!

Hi there! I'm fasting as well, and I've lost about 5 or 6 pounds so far. I only started eating a little better like 5 days before Ramadan started.

I just make sure to log everything. If its home cooked, I save it as my own recipe and figure out the nutritional facts for it, also I make sure to use less oil and stuff. Then any fried food is baked 90% of the time. Of course everything I eat the right portions, never too much.

I haven't had a problem with craving sugar which is weird because sugar is the one food I would crave like 3 times a day. But I suggest if you're having this problem, don't limit yourself. Just portion off a decent sized piece and make sure to log it!

Also, since it's Ramadan, I haven't started the exercise videos I want to but I make sure to walk for 35 minutes a day. :) I hope this helps you somewhat!

Oh another tip! As soon as your fast breaks, drink a whole glass of water. That should stop you from overeating!

Ramadan is when I typically eat the healthiest. I love sugar and have been constantly craving cinnamon buns, but I know what it feels like to have heart burn all day and not be able to do anything about it.
*When you break your fast you're actually supposed to have dates, water and milk and then whatever else you want.*
