Calculating resting calories from workout

Does anyone else do this? and is it worth it?

    Not sure I know what you're asking, but when I use my heart rate monitor, I subtract my BMR (about 65 calories per hour) from the value it gives me.

    The idea of an "afterburn" after working out is a myth. It would be nice, but don't pad your account with extra calories you didn't really burn.

    I dont get that precise about calories burned - but I only count those in a serious gym session, I dont add in housework, walking to work, walking teh dog etc. So I reckon that balances it out. And I dont eat back all my exercise cals either.

    No I don't add in house work etc either.

    I eat my calories back because I'm on something like 1290.
