      Operating Instructions by Anne Lamott (I also love her Bird by Bird, and think it is my favorite book on writing)...I read it when my oldest son was a baby and it really touched me...I love her humor and appreciate her spirituality and faith.
      Runners up are The Velveteen Rabbit and John Irving's A Prayer for Owen Meany...funny but when I was thinking of other favorites, I thought of Barbara Kingsolver's The Poisonwood Bible and Saint Maybe by Anne Tyler. Strange that so many have religious undertones (or at least religious references in the title, yet I don't consider myself to be religious or particularly spiritual).

      It seems like once two people are together, the majority stop caring about how they look to their partner and really don't put the effort in to be attractive for them anymore!
      Its not for them anyway! put a little effort in for you!!! I guarantee that you will feel so much better about yourselves! And keep that fire inside alive! :wink:
