Remaking calories?

What is a normal amount of calories remaining after exercise at the end of the day? I feel like the amount I have is too good to be true! I won't be consuming any since it's so late must. Have. Willpower.

Ideally you should have zero calories remaining. But since exercise can often be overestimated, many will only eat back 50% of those calories.
PS...there's nothing wrong with eating late for most people. It's 11:17 here and I'm having ice cream.0 -
10:18 and I'm making bacon and eggs...0

Maybe my calorie intake number is wrong so I have a lot of calories left at the end of the day. If it was zero then I would have just eaten my calories and not have logged any exercise.0

What's your calorie goal? How many do you have leftover daily? Are you logging exercise and if so how are you determining your burn? How carefully are you logging calories consumed (including cooking oils, veggies, using a food scale, etc)?0 -
It says my calorie goal is 1460. Today is my first day and I have 1011 left over after exercise and eating. I log my foods very carefully and I log exercise using preset selections on the app. I usually select exercise less than what I think because I feel like they over estimate those things. What is your normal if you don't mind me asking? Or a general normal amount?0

That depends on a lot of things (height, weight, age, goals, activity level, and such). Personally, I eat 1700 calories to lose and about 2200 calories when I'm in maintenance. 1000+ calories is a lot to have leftover.0 -
I intentionally save a lot of calories for the evening. I think I have around 700 at 11pm. I like to eat a late dinner, have an evening cocktail and a snack. There's no magic about eating early vs late0
