In order to commemorate the Brexit disaster I will be having fish and chips.
I am in the US, but will try to make it authentic as possible. Will be baking fish and chips. Will use newspaper in a box (don't have a basket).
I have a lot of cherry tomatoes (we have plants).
I just realized could I make my own ketchup? If you have any ideas, shoot them.

I don't know about ketchup but my favorite thing to do with tomatoes is:
1. Cut in half. Scoop out seeds if you want but not necessary
2. Toss with olive oil and generous amounts of salt, pepper, & garlic (minced preferred but could probably do granulated)
3. Line up on a pan cut-side up (parchment paper underneath) and lay sprigs of fresh tyme across the top
4. Roast in the oven on 350 until tomatoes are soft and awesome (time varies depending on size of tomatoes, usually ~20-25 minutes2 -

This is similar to the way I make quick ketchup.0 -
First you get the mozzarella, then you get the basil, next you get the cherry tomatoes, and finally you get teh balsamic vinegar.
Cucumbers, onions, tomatoes and Italian dressing is also a great alternative.0 -
I like that you're putting it in newspaper and everything. Here (Scotland) that's a fish supper - a fish tea on the other hand is served on a plate with peas, a cup of tea, bread and butter and, if you're being fancy, a wedge of lemon and a dollop of tartare sauce. This may be a UK wide thing, I don't actually know.
What about a pickled egg or some mussels from a jar?2 -

Honestly, you lot put brown sauce on everything. I had an Edinburger flatmate who put it on pizza.1
