Hi everyone, I have been trying for years to loose these 30 or so lbs. I have tried evey diet and weight loss pill on this planet. My problem is I with a full time job and four kids at home I dont have time to work out often. I have never counted calories before but I have heard it works. I am very determined and commited to loosing this weight. It is an inspiration just reading everyone elses postings. I hope to meet many of you and I look forward to hearing from anyone who can provide tips or advise. Thank you.

Welcome!! There are a million and one ways that you can get exercise into your life both with work and family. There are some great DVDs (Jillian Michaels' 30 day Shred is a fan favourite around here) that take 20 to 40 minutes of your time and can make a HUGE difference. But getting started with calories is a great start!! Welcome to MFP - you'll be SO glad you joined!!

    Welcome. :flowerforyou:

Counting calories does work. You must enter your goals, age weight and height & your caloric requirement will be calculated for you. Live by that figure, if you go over try pulling out the skipping rope for 20 minutes, it will burn up those extra calories. Soon excercise will become part of the routine.

Good luck on your journey, remember 1 day at time.

Yes, you can do it, I have an exercise bicycle that I do for 30 minutes a day so far, and I have some Leslie Sansone walking exercise videos. I have 2 kids, and I exercise everyday, mostly when they are napping, so if your kids take naps or go to school try to do it around those times. Welcome and good luck on your weight loss journey. :flowerforyou: :drinker:

You can find time, I used that excuse sadly for 10 years:grumble:, you have to have me time, even if you start with 20-30 min a day a few times a week, it's addictive! Welcome! You can do it!
