I am wondering how/if you ladies exercise on the first few days of your period.
Thanks!

I do- I think it helps with the cramps. Normally the only thing I want to do is eat, clean and sleep but I tend to do my stationary bike for a half hour and walk.0

I take it day by day.. I used to not at all while I was on, but that's not the answer.. usually I'll do something less intense so I don't feel guilty.0

I still workout when it's the TOM. After the cramps subside, that same day I continue on with my workout schedule (currently P90X). It's tough, but I feel guilty not working out.0

I do as well, but I must be careful. Certain days I cannot risk it - accidents happen. but if I lesson the intensity, I usually do not have a problem.0

i push through it and workout like reg, though i do ***** and moan the entire time.0

I find that swimming and biking are probably the easiest to do when I have cramps (not weight bearing!) but I think the best way is to have a schedule and stick to it. It's been easier for me because I play a team sport, so I have to be at practice, no matter what. I take some ibuprofen, cleat up, and start running. And it's been shown that light exercise is actually great for reducing cramps and I've personally found that to be pretty true. The first fifteen minutes might suck because of cramps but once your body gets going and you get your heart rate up, you forget that you even had them to begin with, especially if you're having fun while working out.0

I just go with it :0) It does help with discomfort. I was so excited to weigh in yesterday and woke up with mine I thought "really" today of all days. I did loose little over a pd but so frustrating0

I do my normal exercise when I am on my monthly; I feel sluggish if I do not exercise.0
