Found something that works for me (but not sure what it is)

My weight loss status- reached my goal weight last year but this year I've noticed the scale going up very, very slowly despite tracking all my calories. Now I have about 1.5-2 lbs to lose, which I'm making progress on.
For most of my weight loss, I struggled with feeling hungry a lot. The only way I could manage the hunger was to eat good food with no cheating- lots of protein and almost no sugar (not even fruit). People would tell me that I didn't need to feel hungry on a diet and I would internally answer "Yes, yes I do- if I'm eating a deficit, I will be hungry at least some of the time."
Anyway- something happened and the hungry voice in my head is gone. It all started with something bad- I had a day and a half of bowel cramps probably brought on by eating a bunch of peanuts (without much chewing) while I was slaving away for a deadline. It's probably related to diverticulosis although I've never been diagnosed.
For a few days I tried to eat soft foods and started drinking aloe juice (it works for bowel cramps, btw). Later, in the hopes of getting my bowels to heal, I started taking vitamins, licorice root pills (supposedly good or digestion), fiber and a probiotic.
Now, I feel great and the hungry voice is gone (magic!!). I'm not sure what of the above new things is made the difference but I'm going to keep taking them. Has anybody else had similar experiences? What worked for you?

I don't know but I remember that one day when the Moon was in Pisces all day, harmonizing with the Sun and Venus, aligning with Neptune, and forming a square with Saturn over the skies of Southeast Asia and I totally craved salads the whole week.9

You could make money with a gift like yours!2 -
Ahem, a lot of people do make money with this astrology stuff, but the bottom line is "for entertainment purposes only." lol

The fiber might be helping you to feel satiated.0

Haha- I tried the licorice root because: 1. I was desperate and 2. It's in food so if it was toxic or had terrible side effects we would know by now. The Aloe Vera juice really helps too. Nobody seems to know exactly how it works- but it does.
The more energy/less hungry thing has been going on for about two weeks now which is why I decided to share. My two working theories are that either I had some vitamin or mineral deficiency that the multivitamin helped with or that my intestinal flora was completely out of whack and the probiotic fixed it.
Just thought I would share in case someone was in the same situation.
