Hey, I've joined this site earlier this week and i've been kind of shy but have realized everyone here is really supportive. I haven't seriously tried dieting before (always ended up feeling guilty and just gave up) so any tips anyone can give would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

You are young and very pretty. My advise is to not expect too much of yourself too soon, but use this site to get educated about eating, and celebrate small victories. Use this forum to ask questions and vent frustrations, and of course, to get support.
Best wishes in your journey0 -
Good luck on your journey.:drinker:

Thank you! I feel silly almost having to eat my exercise calories, almost as if, "what's the point of excercising?" but i figure this is all good in builing my metabolism, right?0

Welcome! You will find plenty of support and friendship here. If you read through the different categories in the community, you will find things that interest you and you may want to get in a "Challenge" or two or join one of the threads for women or students or whatever interests you.
Good luck! :flowerforyou:0 -
to your new journey of a healthier you. Don't concentrate on "diet". Concentrate on health. You're going to do great!0 -
Hi, and welcome to THE best site on the web!
Between the easy to use food counter (which by the way is SUCH an eye opener!) and all the wonderfully supportive members, you WILL be able to lose the weight that you want to, AND, it'll "almost" be easy doing it!
I recommend logging ALL your foods BEFORE you have them, rather than later, as it tends to lead to better food choices. (not to mention you'll know if you've got enough numbers left to have a night time snack, like I ALWAYS try to do!) Some people also like to weigh and measure some things, such as meats, rather than just estimating and possibly being WAY off!
Also, drink lots of water, that seems to help alot too. :drinker:0
