So every once in a while I give MFP's 'Recipe Importer' a chance to show me it's been made to function properly. Yet time and time again I either give up and manually add a recipe or spend a lot of time correcting the Importer's sad attempt. LOL. I've had it suggest a cup of cornstarch when the recipe listed it for dusting. Okay, that I can understand. However, I boggle at it suggesting, "0.25 cup Cereals, whole wheat hot natural cereal, cooked with water, with salt" for the ingredient "1/4 cup hot water". I also nearly laugh myself silly when a recipe that requires "1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper" has the Recipe Importer suggests "0.10 g Kettle Brand - Salt & Fresh Ground Pepper Potato Chips" as the ingredient match. Potato chips (crisps) for black pepper? Really??? ROFL

What amusing recipe ingredient suggestions has MFP's Recipe Importer given you?

    You just gotta check out the 'Chocolate Ice Milk' recipe then and how it came out on the recipe importer. Way too funny except of course for the person trying to use the tool.

    I hear the old one is still available to use. Which is nice they left that. I use other sights for now though and bring the calculations over here. Pain in the butt, absolutely...should be never be necessary to have to do that. It's been several years now and still down. :# smh

    Doh! I completely missed that and it's even a recent one. Thanks for the head's up.

    Every time a recipe calls for salt, it suggests "butter, salted."
