Recipe Builder Question

Hi:)
I'm trying to build my recipe library and have hit a snag.
For example, I make my own coleslaw with my own home made mayo. I entered the recipe for the mayo and saved it. Then i imported the recipe for the coleslaw and tried to replace "mayo" with "my homemade mayo" (the name I gave it). It wouldn't come up in a search for it.
Same thing happened with a rub I made for a chicken recipe. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? This happens even if I don't import the recipe, ie I just type it in.
Thanks so much!

There is no way to include an existing recipe in a new one you're creating, sadly :(

You will have to just add in all the ingredients to the new one.

Yes as Lyssa says, you'll have to create your own recipe and add all ingredients.

or, in the alternative, you could create a new food called my homemade mayo (or whatever) and use the nutrient values from the mayo recipe. then you could add the mayo to your coleslaw recipe

Hrm I will give that a try! Thanks! I guess this means for the first little while I'll be using my laptop and phone at the same time to build up a food/ recipe library
