How do I record weight machine reps?

When I work out in the Y gym I use 8 different Life Fitness weight machines. The Data Base does not recognize "Life Fitness" or names that the machines indicate the types of movements each represents like "seated row," "shoulder press."extension curl," or "pull down" ...etc.
So how do I record the reps I do or the amount of resistance each machine is set for? Just recording the amount of time I spend in the gym correlates to nothing.

Tracking the reps and weight doesn't correlate to much either. It is very difficult to get an accurate calorie burn from weight lifting, and even then-it isn't very high.
You can record your time spend weight lifting under "cardio". Just look up the lifts there.1 -
I have a notebook that I write my workouts in, and I just enter them here as strength training under cardio exercises.1

Thank you, distinctlybeau for your answer. I keep track of my strength training also. To me the problem is how to turn that workout information into accurate calorie burn numbers.0

I use the calorie count MFP gives me when I enter it as cardio, and it's worked for me so far. It's supposed to be really difficult to determine how much you burn from lifting, but there's this ... http://www.health.harvard.edu/diet-and-weight-loss/calories-burned-in-30-minutes-of-leisure-and-routine-activities1

I do similar thing - I write it down as "Gymnastics, general".
Because I do also archery from time to time, I think this site vastly underestimates weight lifting, or overestimates archery energy expenditure for example. I cannot remember workout in the gym which felt less intensive than firing arrows with bow.
